East Village Elementary students are immersed in STEM projects that facilitate a strong growth mindset by opening up opportunities to collaborate over complex problems. These collaborative experiences not only foster academic growth and development, they expose students to experiences where they are able to develop and work on social emotional skills as well. #evestem #everystudenteveryday #mistakesaremagic

Students in Ms. Armstrong’s class at eStem East Village Elementary have been learning about a variety of ways to code. This week they created their own visual and sound codes, then used them to communicate with classmates! Opening up the world of coding to our students is beneficial because it teaches vital critical thinking skills, supports the development of resilience and grit, boots math skills, gets them comfortable with technology, and teaches cause and effect. #kidscancode
